The vibrant metropolis is the perfect blend of tradition and modernity. We will explore the stunning Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, marvel at the futuristic skyline, visit the Observation deck with perfect views of Emirates Palace, and stroll along the scenic Corniche.
Day 2 - Abu Dhabi - Socotra
Early morning flight to Socotra. Upon arrival we meet our local guide, who will accompany us throughout the trip. We hop into our 4x4 vehicles and set off for an adventure. We will be transported to the fishing town of Qalansiya and our first campsite at Detwah Lagoon. This vast lagoon will take your breath away. Pristine white sand and azure waters surrounded by rocky hills and sand dunes. Welcome to one of Socotra’s most stunning beaches. We enjoy the walk in the lagoon, a refreshing swim, and our first encounter with local children, who will be excited to meet us. We will end the day with beautiful sunset over the sand dunes or from a nearby viewpoint.
Day 3 - Shoub beach
After the breakfast we take a boat trip to remote Shoub Beach. We'll enjoy stunning views of the rugged coastline and if we're lucky, spinner dolphins join us along the way. In Shoub we'll relax and swim at this beautiful and remote beach. We return back to the campsite for lunch. In the afternoon, we'll have a unique encounter with the "cave man" - a local guy who was born in a nearby cave and knows the lagoon better than anyone. He will take us around the lagoon and show us various sea creatures living here such as mussels, cucumber, puffer fish, stingray. We’ll even get to taste fresh oysters. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp in Detwah Lagoon.
Day 4 - Firmhin forest
Early in the morning we set off for the hike up to the viewpoint which offers breathtaking views of the entire lagoon. The trek takes about 2.5 hours. Then we'll have breakfast and drive up to Diksam plateau. The ever-changing landscapes along the way offer breathtaking views. We'll have lunch at the stunning Dehur Canyon before continuing to the Firmhin Forest. Welcome to the forest of Dragon's Blood Trees -the symbol of Socotra. This place feels truly magical. We’ll enjoy one of the most spectacular sunsets of this trip. We will camp in the Dragon's Blood Tree forest.
Day 5 - Omaq beach
We'll enjoy beautiful sunrise and have breakfast before we continue our journey. We'll have a scenic two-hour drive to our next destination - Omaq Beach. Upon arrival, we'll have lunch, relax, and swim in the pristine beach. Later we'll go to the nearby Zahak sand dunes where we capture some amazing photos and take in another breathtaking sunset.
Day 6 - Kelesehan canyon
Every day in Socotra brings new adventures! After breakfast we embark on a a three-hour drive to the Momi region, mostly off-road. We will pass through small mountain villages, hidden oases, and vast plains with bottle trees. The highlight of the day will be swimming in a breathtaking canyon in the heart of the mountains. Kelesehan has natural pools with crystal clear water surrounded by towering rocks. It's the perfect spot for cliff jumping! After a picnic lunch, we continue to Arher beach, where we'll camp for the next two nights.
Day 7 - Arher beach
Early in the morning, we'll visit the nearby Hoq Cave. The trek takes about three hours round-trip, leading us to the largest cave on the island. Later, we will have a chill day at the stunning Arher Beach, relax and swim. Before sunset we will drive to the place where the Arabian Sea meets the Indian Ocean and enjoy the sunset.
Day 8 - Homhil
We'll wake up early today and hike up the sand dunes to enjoy the stunning sunrise. We might even spot dolphins swimming right in front of our camp. After breakfast, we will drive to Homhil. This place feels like a natural botanical garden, filled with Dragon's Blood Trees, Frankincense Trees, and Bottle trees. A short trek leads us to the stunning infinity pool with crystal-clear water and breathtaking views of the coast. After the swim we head to Dihamri Marine Reserve for an unforgettable snorkeling experience. Tonight we will camp at Delisha Beach. We will have a farewell dinner with our Socotri team.
Day 9 - Socotra - Abu Dhabi
After breakfast, we will drive to the airport to take our flight back to Abu Dhabi where we catch our international flights home.

Valid passport (validity at least 6 months after the trip) and visa are required to enter Socotra. The passport cannot have Israeli stamp.
Socotra is a travel gem, but it’s not for everyone. Be prepared for very basic conditions, no electricity and internet, and almost no signal. The reward is unspoiled landscapes untouched by mass tourism.
Accommodation during the trip will be in tents, in campsites with basic showers and toilets (mattresses and blankets are provided).
The trip itinerary may change depending on the availability of campsites, but the destinations on the itinerary remain unchanged.
Due to limited number of flight tickets to Socotra, it's necessary to sign up for the trip as soon as possible.

Is Socotra safe?
Socotra has always been safe. The island is very autonomous from the rest of Yemen, and the civil war has never reached here.
What is the accommodation like?
We will sleep in campsites, in tents equipped with all the necessary items (mattresses, pillows, blankets). The conditions are basic, but the experience of sleeping on the beach, in the dragon’s blood tree forest, or next to the sand dunes is truly unique.
What about showers and toilets?
The campsites are equipped with basic showers and toilets. If not, portable toilets/ showers will be provided.
Is electricity available in the campsites?
Some campsites have basic lighting. We recommend bringing a power bank (preferably solar-powered) for charging electronics. Electronics can also be charged in the car during the drive.
Is there internet signal available?
A local SIM card works on Socotra island, but the signal is often weak, sometimes none. Be prepared for a detox :)
Is there any food provided?
The price includes full board, including non-alcoholic drinks. We will have our own chef who will cook for us. The meals usually consist of fish, rice, potatoes, and vegetables. If you don’t like fish, please let us know, and we’ll arrange an alternative.
